We had such a great experience with Chase and Dunier! They were super professional and easy to work with. They showed us exactly what was wrong with our fireplaces, explained everything clearly, and never tried to upsell us. They even gave us tips on how to maintain things ourselves and ways to save money. They were respectful of our time and quick with estimates and receipts. We’ll definitely be using them again!
I am very pleased with the service I received from Instant Chimney! The crew did an excellent job resurfacing my chimney and adding a cap, as well as refinishing my fireplace! Everyone was so helpful and communicative from start to finish, and the entire project was completed less than 24 hours after my initial call. 10/10 highly recommend!
Instant Chimney did an outstanding job replacing our 31-year-old gas fireplace logs that were no longer working. From start to finish, the entire experience was excellent. The installation was handled by a very kind and polite young man named Chase, whose professionalism truly stood out. He completed the job in less than three hours, worked efficiently, and left the area spotless. Chase also took the time to explain how to operate the new gas logs and walked me through the details of his installation so I could understand exactly what was done. His skill, courtesy, and thoroughness were impressive. I couldn’t be more pleased with Instant Chimney’s service, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of fireplace work. This is definitely a five-star company!
These guys do great work and are friendly and professional. From getting in touch with them to schedule a free estimate and getting the work completed the very next day I am very pleased with the level of service that they provided. Because of the quality of their work and quick response to my request for an appointment I've scheduled a second job with them for early next year. I would definitely recommend Instant Chimney to anyone who needs quality work done on their chimney, chase or chase cover.
I needed to repair damage to my chimney. Right from the start, I knew Instant Chimney was a quality company. Excellent BBB rating, lots of positive comments on Google and Yelp. Rico gave me a professional estimate, informed me about my insurance company and gave me many options. The job was performed quickly and I was so impressed by how beautiful the chimney looks now and the freshly painted firebox improves the overall look to the fireplace. They even repainted my log rack! There were no hitches in the work, no unforseen expenses. Even the invoicing was easy. After the job, I received a courtesy call from Chase the project manager. He answered my remaining questions and provided excellent documentation with before and after pictures which I can keep with the house. I have peace of mind that my chimney will last and continue to perform at it's best, leak free and without potential pitfalls in the future. I recommend Instant Chimney, they are not the least expensive, but it's worth the extra cost to have the job done right the first time and warranted by courteous professionals. Thank you to everyone involved. - Marco Ortiz
They replaced the front glass and screen on my fireplace. It’s immaculate and beautiful. They also replaced the siding and gave me a new top part on my fireplace maybe my chimney they’re also replacing the siding on the side of my house. I’m very impressed with the work they’re doing thank you so much for your services.
In my experience everything was excellent, the inspector arrived and told me what my chimney needs and was completely professional. They arrived and quickly began the tasks of the maintenance of my chimney they were fast and clean, and my chimney looks great!! I recommend their company and services, definitely I call them again. Thank you.
After hurricane Beryl happened our Chimney had some issues due to the wind. The only thing I knew to do was to call the roofer because that’s what everybody told me I needed to do to get my chimney repaired however, what happens when you call a roofer they want to repair roofs, and then they would repair the chimney as an afterthought. My chimney was the problem, and therefore it was causing leaks into my house when other rain was happening, but the roofers kept giving me the runaround. these people were friends of friends that had roofing companies, family members that work for roofing companies, and still a few weeks after the hurricane no results. I finally was fed up and I just started googling Chimney repair and I found this company and I am glad I did. I just wish I would’ve found them sooner, they took care of me in a matter of a couple of days from the time they did the Estimate to the time they actually repaired my Chimney was Believe two days. The damage that was done was not worth claiming on insurance so I had to pay out-of-pocket, and I started to worry a little bit whenever you go to a specialty company, but the people I spoke with Mr. Rico in particular made me feel A little bit better about it, but when I got the estimate, it was less than what the roofers wanted to charge to get it done. The crew that came out to talking with Mr. Rico has been an absolute pleasure and I will recommend them to anybody and everybody for any of their fireplace or Chimney needs from this point forward!! I can’t thank you enough for everything!!!
They did a great job… Very punctual did an excellent job fixing my fireplace super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them… Other companies I called couldn't come out for two weeks and these guys found time to come out the same week… I greatly appreciate them… Definitely making my Christmas holiday even that much better by having a working fireplace
I called and they came out within a day or two and repaired my flashing and cleaned out the Chimney. I was getting some wind noise still after (but much less) and they came back out and double secured it and tightened it down further. I couldn’t be happier with the service and responsiveness of their organization.
Chase was great. Prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable/ helpful
Instant chimney was nothing but professional , showed up on time and gave me a great recommendation for my chimney. Ben was simply EXCELLENT!!! to work with!!
The National Fire Protection Association Standard 211 says, "Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances. Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs shall be done if necessary."
The smell is because of the creosote deposits in your chimney, a natural by-product of wood burning. The smell is sometimes worse in when it gets hot, when the humidity levels are higher and the a/c is turned on. A good sweeping will help but usually won't solve the problem completely.
This has become quite a common issue in modern air-tight houses where weather-proofing has sealed up the air infiltration routes. The fireplace in use exhausts household air until a negative pressure situation happens. If the house is tight, the simplest route for makeup air to enter the structure is often the unused fireplace chimney. As air is drawn down the unused flue, it picks up smoke that is exiting nearby from the fireplace in use and delivers the smoke to your living area. The solution is to introduce makeup air to the house so that the negative pressure problem is no longer a problem, thus eliminating not only the smoke issue, but also the potential for carbon monoxide to be drawn back down the furnace. Another solution is to install a top-mount damper on the fireplace that is used the least.
Yes! Despite the fact that gas is a cleaner burning fuel, the chimney can become non-functional from bird nests, animals, or other debris blocking the flue. Some newer furnaces can also cause many problems with the avg. flues made for older generation of furnaces. It is best to check the areas on gas and carbon monoxide to be on the safe side.
A complete chimney sweeping includes the chimney flue and smoke chamber. You will be able to visibly see the that the flue is cleaner. Ask for a report after the sweeping is done.
Liners for oil-fired and gas appliances do not require insulation to meet the manufacturers’ installation and warranty reqs. Due to the lower flue gas temperatures and lesser heat transfer they are less likely to get surrounding combustible material on fire. If combustible materials are in close contact with the chimney, there are provisions that allow the liner to be installed in what is called as a zero/zero install. It is more logical to insulate every liner serving a wood burning appliance. Even oil-fired and gas appliances that are vented into an outside chimney will benefit from liner insulation.
It is safe to burn dry, seasoned firewood in your fireplace. Dry firewood typically has a moisture content of less than 20% and has been properly stored for at least six months to a year. Hardwoods like oak, maple, birch, and ash are excellent choices as they burn longer and produce more heat. Softwoods like pine and fir can also be burned, but they tend to burn faster and produce less heat. It is important to avoid burning treated wood, painted wood, or any materials that may release toxic fumes when burned. Additionally, never burn trash, cardboard, or paper products in your fireplace as they can cause excessive smoke and potentially start a chimney fire.
